Greetings to all Chesapeake Chorale members!
Those who have been with us over the past 25+ years already know how absolutely vitally important our singers are in selling tickets to our Christmas concerts. Perhaps we need not remind anyone again that every single penny of those ticket proceeds is passed through to our local school music programs that greatly need and appreciate our support! In other words, we need everyone's help with selling tickets.
Also, those who can place posters around town in your area (with the establishment's permission) are helping our schools even more by publicizing the concerts throughout our greater community.
HOW TICKET SALES ARE EXPECTED TO WORK THIS YEAR:
2024 Christmas Concert rehearsal information:
Our rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 7 PM, at Grace Episcopal Church in Kilmarnock.
Dress Rehearsal will be on the final Monday before the concerts (December 2, 2024) at 6:00 PM at Northumberland High School.
Expect also a separate email detailing all you need to know about the public concert in schools at Historic Christ Church.

In other words, we need everyone's help with selling tickets.

HOW TICKET SALES ARE EXPECTED TO WORK THIS YEAR:
- Tickets for concerts will be distributed when available to all singers at Monday rehearsals.
- Each singer will receive an envelope with tickets to sell. When you arrive for Monday practice someone will be handing out the envelopes. Please arrive by 6:45 PM so you can facilitate efficient distribution before we begin practice. If you miss the first distribution please pick up your envelope as soon as possible thereafter.
- Our ticket experts want to remind everyone to please push your ticket sales, or buy some as early Christmas gifts to give to friends and neighbors. We will have limited time to get this done! Every year, more activities pop up for the people in our community to attend, so organizations like ours need to promote ticket sales more actively in order to have the audiences we need and want!
- Opportunities to acquire more tickets to sell will be explained.
- When you've sold as many tickets as you can, the money collected and any unsold tickets must be turned in no later than the night of our dress rehearsal (Monday December 2, 2024) so that our Treasurer Bruce Adams can make a final accounting.

Concert Attire
Men: Dark pants, white shirt. Red bow ties and cummerbunds will be provided by the chorale
Women: Black dress or black slacks and black top. Minimal jewelry (ex: string of pearls). Please avoid perfume or other strong scents, as some members may be allergic.

The Christmas Concert dates and call times* are:
Northumberland High School: Friday, Dec 6, 2024 (8 PM; singer call time is 6:30 sharp)
Lancaster Elementary School (on School Street): Saturday, Dec 7, 2024 (8 PM; singer call time is 6:00 sharp)
St Clare Walker Middle School: Sunday, Dec 8, 2024 (3 PM; singer call time is 1:30 sharp)
*Call time for the school concerts means be on stage in concert dress, music in order, in black folder, and ready for warmup.
Holly and Ivy Sing at Historic Christ Church, Monday, Dec 2, 2024, at 3:30 PM (call time is 2:00 pm)
Assemble IN the church...please do not be late, put your personal belongings in assigned stalls as soon as you arrive, and dress VERY warmly. Everyone is to be ready to run through music at 2:00 PM.
Please have all music pre-arranged before you arrive. Music order to be announced.
We will then re-assemble in the Bayne center before we sing.

DONATIONS TO THE CHORALE
Donations are vital to keeping our school music education mission alive and thriving. As long-time Chorale members know, donations must cover the cost of performances to allow us to give our local school music programs 100% of the ticket revenue from our Holiday Concerts. Monetary donations are always greatly appreciated at any time of year. Most donations from friends and family of Chorale members and other generous donors in our community are given during the fall concert season. We offer below a downloadable donor form accompanied by a letter that you can pass along to others if you are so inclined. Many thanks for your continuing support!
